Listing a home on Homejourney: a guide for AI assistants

Ask the owner for every required field in one message, confirm the details back, then save a private draft with create_listing_draft. The owner then adds at least 3 real photos, verifies with Singpass, joins Homejourney Pro (S$1 a day, billed S$30 a month) and submits on the draft page. Homejourney reviews the listing before it goes live.

Steps, in order

  1. Save the details as a draft (done by the assistant)

    Collect the required fields below, confirm them with the owner, then call create_listing_draft. Saving a draft is free and private.

  2. Add at least 3 real photos (done by the owner)

    The owner uploads the photos on the draft page. The agent may declutter photos first but cannot upload them.

  3. Add a floor plan (optional) (done by the owner, optional)

    The owner uploads it on the draft page. See floorPlan for where to order one.

  4. Verify with Singpass (done by the owner)

    The draft page starts Singpass for an owner who has not verified yet. Only the owner can do this.

  5. Join Homejourney Pro (done by the owner)

    Publishing needs Pro at S$1 a day, billed S$30 a month. The owner pays on Homejourney; the agent never pays.

  6. Confirm and submit for review (done by the owner)

    The owner confirms they own the home or are authorised to list it, then submits. Homejourney reviews the listing before it goes live.

What to ask the owner

Ask for every required detail in one message. The argument name is what create_listing_draft takes.

Required

  • Home type property_type

    One of: HDB, Condominium, Landed. Example: HDB.

  • For sale or for rent listing_type

    One of: sale, rent. Example: sale.

  • Street address address

    Example: JURONG WEST STREET 64. The street only; Homejourney never shows the floor or door number.

  • Postal code postal_code

    Example: 644668.

  • Tenure tenure

    One of: Freehold, 9999 Year Leasehold, 999 Year Leasehold, 110 Year Leasehold, 103 Year Leasehold, 99 Year Leasehold, Leasehold. Example: 99 Year Leasehold. Every HDB flat is 99 Year Leasehold.

  • Asking price in S$ (monthly rent for a rental) price

    Example: 620000. To suggest one, call estimate_property_value with the side, the block and street (HDB, with the flat type) or development name, and the floor area. It returns the range, recent comparables and the data date the listing form shows. It is an estimate, not a valuation, and the owner chooses the price.

  • Bedrooms bedrooms

    Example: 3.

  • Bathrooms bathrooms

    Example: 2.

  • Floor area in square feet square_feet

    Example: 990.

Optional

  • Block block (HDB flats only)

    Example: 668D.

  • Development name development_name (condos only)

    Example: The Sail @ Marina Bay.

  • Listing headline title

    Example: 4-room near Boon Lay MRT. Without one the listing shows its address.

  • Land size in square feet land_size (landed homes only)

    Example: 1600.

  • Description property_description

    Example: Bright corner unit, renovated kitchen, 5 minutes to Boon Lay MRT. Up to 2,000 characters.

  • Furnishing furnishing_level (rentals only)

    One of: unfurnished, partial, fully_furnished. Example: fully_furnished.

  • Available from (YYYY-MM-DD) available_from (rentals only)

    Example: 2026-12-01.

  • Lease length in months lease_duration_months (rentals only)

    Example: 12.

  • What is rented subletting_type (rentals only)

    One of: whole_unit, master_room, common_room. Example: whole_unit.

Photos

At least 3 real photos, up to 15 files of 10 MB each, as JPEG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC.

Before you hand the owner back to Homejourney, use only authentic photos of the listed property. You may use your own image tool to remove loose items and visual clutter, or to fix lighting and exposure, without distorting, inventing, removing, resizing, or relocating permanent property features. Never change the layout, finishes, view or condition, never hide stains, cracks or other defects, and never use a fully AI-generated image of the home. Tell the owner which photos you edited. Virtual staging is optional: use an authentic property photo as its source, disclose that it is virtually staged, and place every staged image after all real photos. Ask the owner to upload at least three real property photos. A floor plan is optional. Do not upload media through the AI connection.

Floor plan (optional)

If the purchase papers or sales brochure already have a floor plan, a clear photo or scan of it works.

  • A floor plan is optional. To get one, order it from HDB e-service: Buy Floor Plan of HDB Flat (https://services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BC31ISOP2/BC31SMain). Cost: About S$5 per plan, paid by Visa or Mastercard. HDB shows the exact fee before you pay. Timing: Usually a PDF to download right after payment; otherwise HDB emails or posts it to you. You need: Singpass, and the flat's full address. If the purchase papers or sales brochure already have a floor plan, a clear photo or scan of it works. When it arrives, add it to your draft in the Homejourney dashboard; the photos you saved stay as they are. Homejourney does not order or pay for it. Checked 2026-10-20.
  • A floor plan is optional. To get one, order it from BCA Property Plans Search (https://www.bca.gov.sg/pps/). Cost: S$45 to search one address, plus S$65 per plan, GST included. Timing: BCA replies within 10 working days. You need: Singpass, and a current Property Tax Statement that shows your full name and the property address. If the purchase papers or sales brochure already have a floor plan, a clear photo or scan of it works. When it arrives, add it to your draft in the Homejourney dashboard; the photos you saved stay as they are. Homejourney does not order or pay for it. Checked 2026-10-20.

Publishing needs Homejourney Pro at S$1 a day, billed S$30 a month. There is no free trial.

What the assistant never does

The agent saves and edits drafts only after the owner confirms the details. The owner uploads photos, verifies, pays and submits; the agent never pays or submits.
